Trying to get the Mac Desktop Client to connect to our server

I’ve downloaded the Mac OS Desktop Client and it installed on my Mac running Mojave (10.14.6).

When I try to connect to my NextCloud server (http://library.wscc.mb.c) it takes me to my browser and says:
“Connect to your account”
“Please log in before granting Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh) mural/3.0.1git (build 3355) (Nextcloud) access to your Nexcloud account.”
“Log in ->”

I click on “Log in ->” and I get:
“Account access”
“You are about to grant Mozilla.5.0 (Macintosh) mural.3.0.1git (build 3355) (Nextcloud) access to your Nextcloud account.”
“Grant Access ->”

I do that and I get:
“Account connected”
“Your client should now be connected!”
“You can close this window”

So I do close the window and go back to the NextCloud client.

It mulls the situation for a couple of seconds and then returns to the screen that asks for the Server Address. In red letters below it says:
“Connection Closed”
And does nothing further.

When I check on my NextCloud web client: Settings: Security: Devices & sessions:
it lists a recent Sync client - Macintosh 4 minutes ago

In fact it lists a whole lot of sessions . . . repetitions of unsuccessful connections.

No error codes, no other indications of something going wrong.

Any Ideas?

I’m having the same issue. Were you ever able to resolve this? If you did, can you post what steps you took?

This appears to be related to a recent bug report https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/23117
