Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:

(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can.

The Basics

    • replace me

Summary of the issue you are facing:

I’m trying to set up the Deploy Daemon for the api but I cannot get it to register on the port 2375.

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Install Docker on Nextcloud Server
  2. Install and run the nextcloud-appapi
  3. Try to setup the daemon in the AppAPI in Nextcloud

The instance cannot be found according to testing the connection in Nextcloud. If I look at the docker instance in the server, the container is running fine but there is no port associated and if I look at the ports running on the server, that one doesn’t show up. I’m not sure if there is a trick to exposing the port to the host of the server.

Ah, I had to specify the address as well as the port in the command for the docker container. All is well now.
