Too many redirect after upgrade to NC 13.0.1

I’m actually having this exact same problem. I’ve just upgraded from 13.0 to 13.0.1 and now receive the “Too Many Redirects” 302 error.

I’m running:
FreeBSD 11.1-p9
Apache 2.4.33
PHP 5.6.34
NextCloud 13.0.1

I upgraded using the command-line without any errors. I’ve turned on debugging in Apache but I only get the following info which isn’t very helpful:

This repeats 21 times before I get:

I cannot figure out what is causing these redirects. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You know what? I’m a moron. I completely missed the upgrade message (which I’m posting in hopes of helping others whom may have missed it as well…):

!!!

                /!\ NEXTCLOUD 13.0.1 UPDATE /!\

The nextcloud 13.0.1 package changes the location of the bundled apps.
After updating to 13.0.1 you MUST adapt your configuration. You MUST
add an additional entry to the “apps-paths” array in config/config.php

1 =>
array (
  'path' => '/usr/local/www/nextcloud/apps-pkg',
  'url' => '/apps-pkg',
  'writable' => false,
),

For the default installation, the fix can be applied with:

cd /usr/local/www/nextcloud
su -m www -c “php ./occ config:import < /usr/local/share/nextcloud/fix-apps_paths.json”

!!!

Everything loads just fine after I ran the command. :face_with_head_bandage:

From where exactly have you copied this text? I also missed it. I updated via the web admin section. But what should I have checked first? I like to be prepared for next update to check the correct update notes/release notes before updating next time.

Thanks

Me too!

I’m running FreeBSD as well, and I managed to stuff up the upgrade (I somehow managed to delete MySQL). I did run that command, but it didn’t take since the install was broken. After fixing MySQL and getting the install right, I didn’t run that command a second time until I saw your post, and was reminded to run it again :stuck_out_tongue:

Nextcloud 13.0.1 is running just fine now :slight_smile:

eekay said he’s running FreeBSD. When you upgrade via the command line (via ports), it gives you a break down of anything else you need to know e.g. Apache directives, required changes to php.ini, etc.

I got the same message as eekay when I upgraded. I added the array information to my config/config.php but missed getting the occ command right!

After breaking my upgrade, I uninstalled Nextcloud and reinstalled it via ports. The clean install didn’t mess with the user data or config.php/MySQL info, so I didn’t lose any information. Here’s the message I got after a “make install” command:

I split this topic off since this is related to FreeBSD setups (not sure if there is a similar problem in the original topic).
