Nextcloud version : 25.0.1 from Docker official images
Operating system and version : Ubuntu server

The issue you are facing:
I have configured several calendars on my NC instance for my user.

When Thunderbird/Davx5 sync calendars (and I suppose contacts information as well), in the NC server log, I find lots of lines including: “Token is not valid: Token does not exist: token does not exist” and CPU consumption gets higher (server and sometime my computer).

Steps to replicate it:

Force syncing calendar from Thunderbird or DavX5
Visualize NC log file

I observe the same error on my instnace - however not in Thunderbird - only DavX5 on Android.

Hi, i’m facing the same issue after upgrading to php 7.4 and nextcloud 23.
update to php 8.1 and nextcloud 25.0.3 didn’t solved the problem.

actually i can’t upload any files

Maybe off topic, I Am using Nextcloud (Official) on TrueNAS Scale.

Upgrading to TrueNAS Scale Cobia 23.10 also updated my Nextcloud instance. It’s now on version 27.1.3

Suddenly my log flooded with Token is not valid messages.

I only used name and password to let users log in.
Users use the webGUI to login, they also use WebDAV.

The Token is not valid messages in the system log pointed me to an issue with WebDAV only.

That gave me an idea to enable 2FA by installing Two-Factor TOTP Provider https://github.com/nextcloud/twofactor_totp#readme
When installed and activated 2FA – for testing only for those who use WebDAV --, the issue seem to be solved since I don’t see any Token is not valid messages anymore added to the system log.

Maybe this can help others in solving this issue.
