Timeout while trying to connect to Nextcloud at…

This is a popular topic, but all google work did not help. I hope to find here the solution

Background: I cannot connect with Desktop Synchronization Client from Linux / Windows 10.

Error message (WINDOWS 10 and CENTOS 7 Desktop): Timeout while trying to connect to Nextcloud at…

I installed yesterday Nextcloud on my server and started setting it up. All looks good.
The only warnings I get and I was not able to fix are:

The "X-Frame-Options" HTTP header is not set to "SAMEORIGIN". This is a potential security or privacy risk, as it is recommended to adjust this setting accordingly.

But I don’t think they are related to the issue at hand

Setup:

Centos 7.5 home LAMP server, Nextcloud 14, PHP 7.2.12, MariaDB-server-10.1.37-1, httpd-2.4.6-80, Nextcloud clients 2.5 for WINDOWS and LINUX and IOS apps

WINDOWS 10 and CENTOS 7 laptop, iphone and iPad

Let’sencrypt certificate; tested this morning with Qualys SSL Labs and report yielded overall rating of A+.

I can access nextcloud via www without any problem

I tried all possible URLs; www.<mydomain>, www.<mydomain/Nextcloud>, www.<mydomain/Nextcloud/status.php> and from LAN as well as WAN networks

I checked the log files on the server too an can’t find an entry for the topic.

Thanks for your help.

As an additional piece of informaiton. I verified connectivity with the WebDav server.
https://wo-lar.com/nextcloud/remote.php/webdav
I logged in and got this message: This is the WebDAV interface. It can only be accessed by WebDAV clients such as the Nextcloud desktop sync client.
I assume this is a telling me that everything is correct.

There is another error message, maybe somebody else stumbled over it. Google does not help here.
When trying to connect from my iPad I get the following message:
Connection error
ErrorDomain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=3840 “JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set…”
UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set…"}

Any idea what this is supposed to mean?

Thanks, Wolfgang

Finally solved.
Just in case somebody runs into the same issue; I had a small mistake when entering the ServerAddress.
I entered first: http://www., correctly it should read
http:// )without www)
