Hi @theking2,

I can see two separate issues here — let me address them one by one.


1. The slash in the folder name “BM/BF”

On Linux, / is the path separator and cannot be part of a file or directory name. When the Team Folders app tries to create a directory named BM/BF, the underlying filesystem either rejects it entirely or creates a nested structure (BM/ containing BF/) in an unexpected location. Either way, the folder will never appear for users.

Fix: Rename that folder to something without a slash — e.g. BM-BF or BMBF.


2. Team Folders only appear for group members

From your second screenshot, the user only sees PLC. That is correct and expected behavior — Team Folders are only shown to users who are members of the assigned group. If that user is not a member of “Lernbegleiter BM”, they will never see BFS or BM/BF, regardless of any other configuration.

Make sure the users who should see those folders are actually members of the group “Lernbegleiter BM” (check under Administration → Accounts → Groups).


3. Your setup order

Your steps describe creating the group after assigning it to a Team Folder. The group must exist before you assign it. The correct order is:

  1. Create the group (Administration → Accounts → Groups)
  2. Add users to that group
  3. Create the Team Folder and assign the group to it
  4. Run occ groupfolders:scan --all if folders do not appear immediately

4. The log entries

The errors in your web server log (“ONLYOFFICE app is not configured” and Collabora cURL timeouts) are unrelated to Team Folders. They indicate that your document editors are misconfigured or unreachable, but they do not affect folder visibility.


To summarize: rename BM/BF to remove the slash, verify that affected users are in the correct group, and the folders should appear.
