I am using a Nextcloud instance (version 29.0.11) with LDAP/AD integration enabled. Talk is also activated (version 19.0.14), but only the chat function. I would now like to be able to select not only individual users in Talk when creating conversations, but also AD groups. The AD groups exist, they are also synchronized to the Nextcloud, but they do not appear in Talk and I cannot select them. Does anyone here have any ideas?

I have similar problem with Nextcloud v31.0.1 and Talk 21. Groups used to show up in talk but suddenly aren’t anymore. We reinstalled out nextcloud instance from scratch with no success. We reinstalled the LDAP Server and Nextcloud again, then we saw the groups again. Now, one day later, groups disappeared again. However, groups which were already added to talk channels are still there and work. Also it is also possible to add groups via occ to a talk channel.

Holy shit. After a load of work and four nextcloud reinstalls we finally found the “problem”. To add a group to a nextcloud talk channel you must activate “Allow share with groups” in “share” in the admin menu. Then you will be able to add a group.
My screenshot is in german, but I assume you are german aswell.
