Talk Android: Login loop on Poco X6 Pro (HyperOS) – browser login succeeds, but account is never created in the app

Hi everyone,

I was suddenly logged out of the Nextcloud Talk Android app and can’t log back in since then.

The browser login itself works, but the app never seems to receive the login token.

**Steps to reproduce**

1. Open the Nextcloud Talk app

2. Enter the server URL

3. Chrome opens → log in with username and password (no 2FA, no SSO)

4. The browser confirms that the login was successful

5. Switch back to / reopen the Talk app → the app is back at the server URL screen and the whole process starts over

**Expected:**

The account is created in the app after the browser login.

**Actual:**

The login flow restarts. No error message is shown. It looks like the token handover from the browser back to the Talk client fails, so the app can’t create the account.

**QR code login**

As a workaround I tried the app password QR code (Personal settings → Security → Devices & sessions → Create new app password → Show QR code for mobile apps):

On the **Poco X6 Pro 5G**, the QR code can’t be scanned at all.

On a **Redmi Note 14**, scanning works and the login succeeds with the same account and server. So the problem seems to be specific to the Poco X6 Pro.

**Environment**

- Device: Poco X6 Pro 5G - OS: Xiaomi HyperOS

- Nextcloud Talk app: latest version from Google Play Store

- Browser: Chrome - Login: username + password, no 2FA Is this a known issue with HyperOS / Poco devices?

Is there a workaround to get the token passed back to the app, or another way to add the account manually?

Thanks in advance!
