Stop indexing my nextcloud to search engines

Hello and greetings! Please anyone tell me how to stop indexing my nextcloud instances to search engines.

This is usually entered in robots.txt

Hello,

Technically speaking, you can’t do that

Sure one can use Robot.txt method, but that is a request only and any search engine, indexing bot or AI scrapping tool can simply ignore and read or index anything which is “public”

Your publicly access login page, unless that is behind a VPN or extra layer of authentication, will always be visible to the public internet and anyone can index it at their will.

Thanks.

The X-Robots-Tag header is already set by default:

See Admin Manual - Security guidance - Security related headers

Additionally, there is already a robots.txt file in the root of the installation: server/robots.txt at master · nextcloud/server · GitHub
