STMP error connecting gmail smtp via nextcloud mail app

Hi All,

new to here, and also new to Nextcloud as well.

I have Nextcloud 21 run on Linode for my file server with mail client app installed for my gmail client.

on my gmail, I have 2FA enabled, App password generated and also IMAP enabled.

whenever i try to setup my gmail account under mail app, I also see the error about not able to connect gmail smtp server.

Error mail Creating account failed: Connection to SMTP at smtp.gmail.com:587 failed. Error connecting to SMTP server. 2021-03-06T16:01:01+1100
Error mail Creating account failed: Connection to SMTP at smtp.gmail.com:587 failed. Error connecting to SMTP server. 2021-03-06T15:59:33+1100
Error mail Creating account failed: Connection to SMTP at smtp.gmail.com:465 failed. Error connecting to SMTP server. 2021-03-06T15:56:03+1100

I am wondering if anyone has seen this issue before. Thanks.

I am wondering if gmail block all Linode IPs? cant be i think? not sure what is going on.

Exact same error happens to me. Could you solve it?
