There was a thread here a full year ago about both clients are only differing in themes https://help.nextcloud.com/t/windows-client-nextcloud-2-3-2-or-owncloud-2-3-3/21609. The promised 2.3.3 Nextcloud client was then released in November but the ownCloud one enhanced a lot since then https://owncloud.org/changelog/desktop-client/ without any further progress on the stable Nextcloud one https://nextcloud.com/install/#install-clients.
Today ownCloud client 2.5.0 was released and I wonder whether it’s still save to go with the update in combination with an Nextcloud server.
