[SOLVED] Error updating Nextcloud (backup directory found. Interrupted or already running installation?)

Hello.
I’m running NC on a Pi 3b+ using NCP (1.48.3 currently).

When I try to update my NC (23.0.2.1), I get this message:
Nextcloud backup directory found. Interrupted or already running installation?

Looking for info I found that the message is shown when there is a nextcloud-old folder found in /var/www
and that it can mean a previous update attempt failed and it’s “stuck”.

How should I proceed? Is it safe to delete nextcloud-old and check if the updating process continues normally?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry i do not use NextcloudPi. But maybe you can rename the old nextcloud-backup directory and test upgrade again. Then you do not lose any data and also can take it back. Maybe you can also post more details (name of backup directory, path, rights, …).

That did the trick!
After renaming the folder, the update process worked and now I’m on 23.0.6.1

Thank you very much!

p.s. I’m not not sure how to quote another user
