Solved: Android cannot connect to https instance, but linux will

Not sure what happened. System was still up on Laptop, but not on Android, but eventually stopped working on all platforms. Could not even ping the server. Rebooted server and https works on all platforms.

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 24.0.1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 22.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): unknown - using Ubuntu snap version
PHP version (eg, 7.4): unknown - using Ubuntu snap version

The issue you are facing:
After using the snap command to enable https:// (sudo nextcloud.enable-https self-signed) the linux desktop (not the server) can access the nextcloud instance over wifi with https:// I cannot access it with the Nextcloud app in Android, nor with the browser. They all report that the host is unreachable.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N):
Y
Steps to replicate it:

  1. Install Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS and select the Nextcloud snap on install.
  2. Setup nextcloud
  3. sudo nextcloud.enable-https self-signed
