Snap install confusion

Hi,

I am new to using snap, but I have just installed nextcloud with a snap and configured it, but I am just wondering about the version that installed which was 15.0.7.0 even though 16 is released.

I assumed that when install with the snap it would install the latest release. I have tried to do a snap refresh nextcloud but it says I am on the latest version.

Is there a way to install the latest version on snap or are there any details about when the snap updates are release?

No, just like apt, it will install whatever version is in the package. Often not the latest.

Not sure if there is a public release schedule for it, but there are some options in snap for installing a particular version, if available, but it would normally install the latest available version by default. I don’t know what the latest version in snap is.
