Size of db and config

Hi,

I want to install Nextcloud on tinkerboard with a 4TB disk. It will be used by two users and will mostly be used for family photos.

Will install the most recent version available and from what I read on the forum it looks like MariaDB is a better option compaed to MySQL.

What is an average size needed for db and configs? I want to know this to choose an appropriate sd card.

Thank you

Hello @metropt ,

welcome to the community of Nextcloud.

You started a topic in support category.

Unfortunately you ignored the template and a lot of information to help you is missing.

Please add all necessary information like Nextcloud version, webserver type and version, os version.

Without additional information the community members cannot help you.

How many users to you expect?
How many files will you have?

The config files are just KBs, nothing more.
Which DB will you use?

Thank you,

Update the post will all the information needed.

For 2 users storing family photos, my guess is that a 32gig SD card would be fine. This is mostly on general grounds: 16 gigabytes is just a touch on the low side to store an operating system plus some software, and last I checked 16 gig cards are like $7 and 32gig cards are like $9 (at least in my part of the world). Extra storage is rarely a bad thing and the price difference between the two options is really modest.
