Show video and audio to guest without video and audio

The issue you are facing:

I create a new conversation and start to show my cam and to enable my microphone.

I share the conversation URL to a guest who join the conversation but not the video call. The guest can see only the chat.

There is a way to let guest see and hear the videocall without a microphone and cam? Can this feature be requested for the future if is not supported?

Steps to replicate it:

  1. create a conversation and start cam and microphone
  2. share the URL to a guest and join just with the link and inserting the nickname
  3. the text chat is visible not the videocall. User cannot join the button to call because has no cam and microphone and cannot see the videocall.

You should be able to join a call without cam and microphone. What is not working there ?

Hum… when guest open the link for join the conversation can view only the chat.

On top right a button to join the conversation is present but if pressed require to access webcam and :microphone:

Also I see that from mobile Android Firefox Developer I’m unable to create a new conversation as after pressed the new conversation button the field name and description are not clickable from mobile.

The access is requested, yes, but it should be perfectly fine to decline it and then move on to join the call without cam and microphone? Does that work for you?

Another option could be to change the default permissions on the conversation settings to not include camera and microphone rights

For testing this I need to wait to be again on my PC, on mobile device seems is impossible create a new conversation of Talk. Tested on Firefox.
This because clicking on the field name never enable the phone keyboard. Should I report this issue in another topic?
