Shared link crashing Ubuntu Server

Hello,

I’m a bit of a newbie to Nextcloud and Apache.

I have installed Nextcloud on an Ubuntu 16.0.4 LAMP server.

Everything seems to be working well – I can login, create users, save files, etc.

However, whenever someone tries to access a link that I have shared the entire server crashes – just a hard freeze with the processor running at a permanent 100%

If I generate the link, then access it from within my network it works fine. If someone outside my LAN network accesses the link the server crashes.

I’m at a bit of a loss on where to even begin to solve this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: A bit of update on this. It seems that the server will only crash when the link is visited from a Safari browser… Chrome and Firefox work fine.

That’s an odd one.

Can you output your Apache logs? /var/log/apache2/error.log
