Shared calendars: preventing reminders for events that aren't mine

My wife and I share calendars with each other, so we will know when things are planned for one or the other. W can both edit these calendars, since sometimes we make appointments for each other. Side effect is that we both get reminders for these events. This can be a bit annoying, especially when we have both appointments around the same time.

Is there a way to get these reminders respect the ownership of the calendar?

I don‘t know whether this is possible with Nextcloud itself (I doubt it actually), but you could tell your wife’s client-software (on the phone or whatever she uses) to ignore reminders of that shared calendar from you.
