Share file by link not working as it used to previous to 15.0.2

I’m definitely running 15.0.2 now. Don’t know when I got automatically upgraded.

I am used to sharing files with people who do not have accounts on my server. I click on the share icon and select share by link and send them that URL. They copy that URL into their browser and get a page with the option to download the file.

This option is not showing up anymore. I’m only seeing email and link sharing for users only.

Has this very useful feature been removed? Is this done a different way now?

OK, looking around for like posts I found my answer. Apparently something is wrong with the app “Social sharing via email” v1.0.5. I disabled this and I get the functionality I was used to back.

Seems like sketchy behaviour for an official app.
