Security of Nextcloud Docker Images

Hello,

I am not sure if I have the correct category. I am sorry if it is the wrong one.

I looked at https://hub.docker.com/_/nextcloud?tab=tags and basically every tag is flagged as having security issues.
What is the story behind this (i.e. will the issues be fixed anytime soon, how and in what situations can the issues be exploited)?
Which tags can safely be used?
Is it save to run nextcloud on a public server?

Thank you and kind regards

It is always as secure as how YOU make it.

This answer is not helpful at all. What does that mean as secure as I make it. If the image/application has security vulnerabilities then I can do nothing except get into the code and fix it.

Your answer does not answer any of the questions I had.

i think the correct place to find real issues would be here.

well… in general i’d say “yes” (or why else would so many users and companies trust NC to keep their data safe?) - but of course there might be security flaws that come with the way YOU setup your instance.
