On my instance of NC 19.01, ElasticSearch is running and works perfectly.
I wonder if that search index could be accessed via WebDAV protocol?
Windows servers which run Microsoft Indexing, provide that index to any windows client that connects via SMB. Thus searches on windows clients in smb mounted folders provide fast results.
Apparently, there is something called “[WebDAV Server with Search Support (DASL)]”(https://www.webdavsystem.com/server/documentation/search/)
I am not a programmer, nor (yet) very experienced with NextCloud.
But I think it might be a nice feature if WebDAV connections to NextCloud folders from windows explorer would allow to re-use the elasticsearch index.
Am I too far from reality?
