Safe Files in archive or database

Hallo,

I have the following problem. My hosting provider have file limit but not a space limit on disk or DB. Is it possible to safe the X files in a archive or via blob in the database. E.g. for files that are rare used?

Or have you any other ideas?

Perhaps those that are rarely used could be zipped/tarred and re-uploaded?

yes i think that is possible, but the problem is that this only works with a desktop pc and not with a mobile phone.

Entirely possible with an Android device, though indeed more challenging with iOS.
