Will it be possible to restrict dowload option for group in internal shares while keeping the ability to read the files? I really don’t understand the purpose of the current option that restricts downloads but then the use can´t read the files. If this would work similar to the public links’s restrict download option that is finally working on Nextcloud last version, that might solved it. but of course using the internal shares and a more flexible and granular access control, thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Mostly if you can read a file, you can also download it. You can try to hide the download option, so it is more difficult. To be readable for a user requires this file type to have an reader-app linked to it on Nextcloud (for this, the user needs reading permissions for the file), and in case of the sharing option just the download button can be disabled.
