Restrict Download Option on Sharing

Nextcloud version (eg, 12.0.2) : 15.0.2

QUERY:
We are trying to see if we can restrict download option while sharing a folder or a file. We can see ‘Hide download’ option on public share link, however, this is not available in nextcloud sharing options with NC contacts. Could anyone confirm if this can be achieved in anyway or NC future versions contain this functionality ?

When you give someone access to a file or folder, that data is sent to their computer when loaded in the browser. Hiding the download button is merely a cosmetic change.

You can’t reliably send data to a remote computer while preventing the remote computer from saving it to disk.
