I want to back up nextcloud data to an external HDD at regular time or in real time.

Steps to replicate it:

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:


The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):


The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in /var/log/____:


I use rsnapshot where you can do regular snapshots of your filesystem. You can do it on a remote disk, even over remote network, it is based on rsync. There are many other backup solutions based on rsync. To do regular backups you use it with cronjobs, or you execute manually when you connect it from time to time only.
