Hi all,
I have been trying for a couple of weeks to migrate to NC from a mature installation of OC10.0.8
I have used to migration tool or the occ upgrade from original OC install folder, keep getting the Exception: Updates between multiple major versions and downgrades are unsupported. error.
Tried both NC12.0.7 and NC13 fresh install files with original OC/config.php file, same error.
Definitely do not want to start with a fresh install with new DB setup. All my installation of OC is mature and I do not want to redo anything
Server:
Ubuntu 16.04/Mysql/Apache2/Php7/Owncloud10.0.8
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
See
https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/13/admin_manual/maintenance/upgrade.html?highlight=upgrade
It is best to keep your Nextcloud server upgraded regularly , and to install all point releases and major releases without skipping any of them, as skipping releases increases the risk of errors. Major releases are 9, 10, and 11. Point releases are intermediate releases for each major release. For example, 9.0.52 and 10.0.2 are point releases. Skipping major releases is not supported.
So you have to do 3 upgrades and you are done.
Sorry, that link is for upgrading between NC installations, nothing in there about migration from OC, unless I am missing something.
Well I followed this page from NC: https://nextcloud.com/migration/
So I tried these NC versions according to that page: 11.0.8, 12.0.0, 12.0.7, 13.0.8, always get the same error.
Which version do you recommend that I start with?
Regards
Regarding the information you referenced it should be 12.0.0 > 12.0.7 > 13.0.2
No need to start with 11.x
Could you please post screenshot of error?
Which way are you updating? Web or Cli?
