try VLCā€¦ but it not stream, you will download and then, play !

I can recommend nPlayer. As far as I can tell, it does also stream media via webdav to your device (just tried it):

Did you do anything special while configuring nPlayer? It constantly crashes when browsing the contents of my Nextcloud instanceā€¦ (Iā€™ve contacted their support btw)

No, nothing special. I donā€˜t have much files in my Nextcloud though.
