a) If a user is deleted, then the next time the client tries to connect to the server, would the content be wiped on the local disk or would it remain on the end device due to a failed connection?
b) If a user’s password is changed after a wipe command has been issued for their previously logged in devices, can the content be wiped on the local disk the next time the client attempts to connect to the server, or would it remain on the end device due to a failed connection?
welcome to the community forum of NC.
thanks for your question(s).
To improve chances for getting a helping answer we would need some more information here since results might differ regarding the versions of used software.
so would you please add some more information about your server, server-environment, apps, used clients, etc?
user deletion doesn’t affect locally stored data… it just blocks access to the server…
during login desktop client generates a device password and remains logged in even after a password change. for this reason a wipe command should success once the client connects to the server next time.
