Questions about iOS app sync activity

The moment I open the iOS Nextcloud app I see requests below on my webserver log. Looks normal. There are only folders at the root so no previews are loaded.

  • Are these requests, such as folder lists, avatar etc. only done if the app is opened by the user? Can I conclude that if I see this, a human has opened the app itself?
  • Are there any background jobs or system triggers (auto upload is not enabled) refreshing avatar, folder list etc. in the iOS app? From what I’ve read it’s not possible / not implemented.

The goal is to know if this can only mean that someone used the phone. I’m investigating a user issue and found these requests are very odd times and AFAIK there are no such background jobs.
