I’ve just updated my nextcloud instance to 32 release. I’m using Nextcloud for a long time (since nextcloud 12 I think) and I installed my instance with baremetal method in Proxmox VM.
I already added a signaling Server in an other VM to use Talk correctly and now I’m thinking to add an AppAPI deploy daemon server.
After to read the documentation, I understand I have to use a docker solution to do that.
Is it possible to install this server without docker ? (baremetal too ?)
I use Nextcloud in private environnement for my familly … Is it better to install it on the same VM than Nextcloud ? or inside an another VM or LXC container ? (I’m using Proxmox)

Hej there,
the thought of the AppApi is not to install Apps via php which can compromise your nextcloud instance in case of an error, but to install the Apps via docker.
So no, the AppApi has to use docker, because it is the main feature.
Just look for a youtube explanation
