Pretty much as the subject headline says.
Is there a way to prevent Next cloud from removing my custom set folder icons in Windows?
It is darn pretty annoying to have to add them back all time time because Nextcloud (Desktop client /latest version) makes some sync change in a folder where I have set custom icons for various things in my company.

Overlay icons AFAIK comes from the “shell extension”. using manual .msi installation method allows opt-out of the shell extensions installation:
msiexec /passive /i Nextcloud-x.y.z-x64.msi NO_SHELL_EXTENSIONS="1"

So basically download a copy of the Nextcloud .msi installation file and run that through CMD and let it “reinstall” the existing Nextcloud installation?
Hmm… 
But that would also remove the option to create shareable invite links for specific folders and files which is a bit a shame to to lack.
