More Information:

We have a nextcloud installation on our dedicated server that has been running perfectly.

Recently our server provider upgraded the storage capacity of our server.

we can still access our nextcloud server via a browser, but now any PC based clients can no longer access the nextcloud documents and sync.

now when we try to add a connection to the server we go throught the client setup and add a server domain:

log in and connect then we get the following message:

Connection Failed and we get three options menu

We have deleted and reinstalled the client but still have the same issue.

we have installed a new version of nextcloud on the same server using a different domain and that connects.

but if we put a new insatallation on the server under the old domain or subdoamian it doesnt connect.

We are ussing a SSL certificate on the server and connecting via https

does the client need to be on a whitelist on the server to establish a connection?

why would the client connect to one domain on the server but not another?
