Opportunistic Sync

Greetings.

iCloud has a nifty feature where it will opportunistically delete files which have not been accessed/used to save space on the desktop, which is very helpful for those of us which are connected to shares that have a lot of video or other large files posted periodically. Right now we have to go in and unsync those folders to avoid filling our local drives up.

I saw one post from back in May 2019 about this feature, but no updates since. Is this on the feature list somewhere?

Thanks.

That may have been part of the “new” sync model… forgot what they called it, but it does more of a Google File Stream-esque virtual drive where the files aren’t actually stored locally until accessed. Still in development last I heard.
