when I create a new Onlyoffice document, it automatically chooses docx file format. Is it possible to change it to odt as the default format? In the Onlyoffice settings I could not find anything in this regard.

I am also looking for this option. I seem to recall it being somewhere but I cannot find it.
I simply created a new text-file, named it myname.odt and clicked on it, that seems to work pretty well. 
But this workaround doesn’t seem to work with ODT files!
