Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 27.1.0
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Linux 6.1.49-70.116.amzn2023.aarch64 aarch64
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): replace me
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.1.23

The issue you are facing:

It is probably a setting but when I login as admin, I have the option to share folders. If I login with my own account that is part of the admin group, I can’t. Is there a setting or configuration I could be missing?

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): No since it isn’t an error.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Create a fold under my profile, and go to share a link to it, and the share icon isn’t there.
  2. Log in as admin go to same folder and the icon is there.

Output errors in nextcloud.log in /var/www/ or as admin user in top right menu, filtering for errors. Use a pastebin service if necessary.

Check the setting under “Admin settings > Managment > Sharing” and allow users to share folders.

I don’t have a management under administrator settings, but in sharing this is checked. Is this what you are meaning? It says to allow user to share via link and emails.

I meant the general settings, not the personal ones. And further below these settings it can be set which are the default share functions available to users (I’m using the German desktop so that it might be possible that I haven’t catched the exact ttranslation):

That is where I am at under the administration settings. Your left side menu and options under settings looks different than mine though.
