On-demand access to files

Hi,

I was wondering if any have thought about developing a feature/client that enables you to access files on the server without syncing them first, like a network mounted drive?

I was thinking about a feature like the “Drive Client” from Seadrive: https://www.seafile.com/en/help/drive_client/

in linux you can use davfs to do that, in windows you have a explorer integration
or if you use total commander, you can use its plugin.
As webdav is pretty common perhaps there is a software which can map a driveletter from a webdav installation.
