How long does it take to load an office document? Is there a way to get it faster?
What are your times and settings?

My setting:

on mobile

  • create new doc: 7sec
  • create new xls: 5sec
  • open created doc: 5sec
  • open created xls: 5sec

in the browser

  • create new doc: 7sec
  • create new xls: 6sec
  • open created doc: 4sec
  • open created xls: 5sec

server:

  • 4 core VPS, 10 GB RAM
  • Which Office? OnlyOffice
  • How is this office installed? Docker on the same server
  • How fast is your internet line? 50/10 Mbit
  • web server: * nginx php-fpm 7.4, redis cache

However I do not understand what exactley you want to tell us with this post. I assume you want people to post their details, so you can compare your performance to theirs. But to be able to make a reasonable comparison, too many details are missing in your post, which can affect these results…

  • Which Office? OnlyOffcice or Collabora?
  • How is this office installed? Integrated app, Docker, Linux packages…
  • On the same server or on a separate server?
  • Which VPS provider?
  • How fast is your internet line?
  • Which web server are you using, and how is it configured?
  • What PHP version are you using, and how is it configured?
  • What memory cache are you using, and how is it configured?

etc…

I have NC and Collabora running as Docker on i5 (~2014) with 16GB total RAM. docker and containers are stored on magnetic drive. I have around 8-9 sec to create new .odt or .odc file… (when Collabora is warm - the very first docs after long inactivity takes additional ~10sec)
