Notification on iphone not helpful? Is it just me?

So my notifications on the sleep screen just say “Nextcloud notification” (would be nicde to know if calendar, or something else). But the worse problem is that when I click on the notification, it just opens Nextcloud app up to the Files. THey’re also not persisten - once I click on it, it’s gone from my notifications. Is there something I’m missing to make these notifications more helpful. I

Hi!

Apps → Nextcloud → Notifications → Show previews. Change this to “always”.

This should work, but if not you will have to go through your iPhone settings to find out what to change.

So that isn’t the issue - the problem occurs when the screen is unlocked as well, but I did switch it to “always” just to check. They still say
“Nextcloud
Nextcloud notification”
which tells me next to nothing, and they still open the app to nothing helpful when clicked on.
I did find that I could set the notification to “persistent” in the notification help for the app - interesting because every other notification I have defaulted to persistent, so I never paid attention.

Does your iPhone use the artificial intelligence which summarizes text?

Not at the moment - I’m on IOS 18.1.1 on an iphone 16 pro, but don’t have/haven’t started using any Apple AI stuff.

Most other apps open the appropriate thing on click (i.e. text message alert opens the text message, calendar alert opens the calendar item).
I would expect nextcloud to give me an alert that says “Nextcloud Calendar”, and then open the calendar, or tell me there is no calendar (since there isn’t a calendar app I know about on IOS - I just calDAV the calendar onto the iphone calendar app).
I’d be interested to know what other people’s iphones do with these.
