I use Nextcloud as my mail client.

My server is hosted by a third party. I do have administrator rights.
Search-in-body in the email account settings is enabled.
Problem description: There is a (mail) folder containing 20 emails. When I search for text in the email body, a red dot appears in the funnel icon in the search box. The screen then goes blank for about a minute, after which all 20 emails are displayed, and the red dot remains. It appears that my search term is being ignored.
However, when I search by email subject, a search result does appear.
