Summary of the issue you are facing:
The Nextcloud Talk Android App (we have the same problems with the Nextcloud App) frequently invalidates the user login. Probably by invalidating the AuthToken that is generated when connecting the app but I am not sure.
The main issue is, that the app never tells the user that his Login has been invalidated. The App starts as normal but the user can not send or receive messages.
Disconnecting the account manually also does not work most of the time. I have to manually clear the cache and all App data and then go through the login process.
The Main issue is that the users do not know that they have been logged out since they are not being forced to re-authenticate.
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):
- I have not been able to find any specific rule when the Logins are invalidated. The problem persists on Android 15 Samsung Phones and my Pixel with Android 16. Sometimes Users stay logged in for months, others are disconnected a few days after logging in.
