No file activity displayed for external storage?

I want to see file activity changes that are made on external storage / Nextcloud federated shares in my feed, but none are displayed. Once I browse to an external share in the Files app, I can look for new files and modifications, but how do I show this info in my Activity feed?

Example:

All files on Machine B are shared to Machine A as Nextcloud External Storage.
All activity on Machine B files is streamed to Machine A. <-- How do I do this?
