Sorry to hear you’re facing problems :slightly_frowning_face:

In order to help you as quickly as possible, before clicking Create Topic please provide as much of the below as you can. Feel free to use a pastebin service for logs, otherwise either indent short log examples with four spaces:

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 2.6.2-1build1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Linux Mint 20.30
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Don't know
PHP version (eg, 7.4): Don't know. Server is Nextcloud recommended tab.digital

The issue you are facing: Having used Nextcloud client to sync between my laptop running Linux Mint and my stationary iMac with no such problem, suddenly my laptop sync client cannot connect. Error message I get is “No connection to Nextcloud at https://se.tab.digital

I’ve checked that the server has not changed name (as in other support thread). And my iMac seems to have no problems being connected.

I don’t know where to find the log files.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Yes

Steps to replicate it:

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

Don't know how to get log files

The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):

PASTE HERE

The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in /var/log/____:

PASTE HERE

Can I do something to get help? If I can’t get my sync to work, the main reason for me to use Nextcloud, I’ll have to stop using it.

Can you call the Nextcloud-server via browser on the computer, where the desktopclient fails?
Can you find any information in the logfile of the desktop software in

C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\Nextcloud

I think the url is correct if you can connect from iMac.
Can you connect from laptop (Linux Mint) in browser to the url?

Also you can test a 60 minute free nextcloud account:

https://try.nextcloud.com
Username is 16 charaters long
Password is: demo
Servername is https://demo1.nextcloud.com or https://demo2.nextcloud.com

I seemed to have solved the problem for now by simply upgrading to the newest version that had been updating recently. I still don’t know what the solution was.

I did try to connect to the Nextcloud-server via the browser with no problem on the laptop (Linux Mint).

I also tried connection to the free nextcloud account as suggested by @devnull with no luck. Same error message.

Thanks a lot for commenting and asking questions both of you. I hope the problem will not come back.
