Nextcloudpi unusable after update to v1.26, Ports 80 and 443 cannot be opened

Hi,
after updating from version 1.25 to 1.26 there is no synchronisation of files possible, either from the ubuntu app or via webdav. You cannot upload any file to the nextcloud anymore. There is also no sync of calendar items anymore. It also says that Ports 80 and 443 are closed, even if the ports are open at my browser and I did run nc-forward-ports with positive results a few times.

nc-info shows this:

Running nc-info

Any idea what I can do to solve the problem?

Similar issue here, but mine sayed

Nextcloud check error

the reason for that may be that i have the database moved to the hdd as well

Btw, the ports closed issue has been displayed on 1.25 as well, but it wasnt true

Same here, the ports are in fact open. It started with v1.26 here.

I hope I can avoid a complete new installation and even that isn’t sure to solve the problem.

Created bug report for that here Edit: Fixed in v1.26.1 Thanks for pointing out.

No it was there before, just went un-noticed afaik, v1.26 only releases auto-update to NC 18.0.5

I have restored a backup and nextcloud was working again until i updated some apps, then it started to go crazy like a messed up theme and stuff. After a while (the backup process was still busy diong the filescan btw) it stopped working once again. Currently i am restoring that backup one more time and will then update the apps one by one to see if it is related to one specific app

Maybe a complete new and fresh installation before restoring the backup will help. Maybe I’ll try that, but it is a lot of work.

My nextcloud logs after the defect shows this:

And this loops after the restore, so there is something wrong already:

Doctrine\DBAL\Exception\LockWaitTimeoutException: An exception occurred while executing 'UPDATE oc_filecacheSETmtime= ?,size= ?,etag= ?,storage_mtime= ?,checksum = ? WHERE (fileid = ?) AND (((mtime <> ?) OR (mtime IS NULL)) OR ((size <> ?) OR (size IS NULL)) OR ((etag <> ?) OR (etag IS NULL)) OR ((storage_mtime <> ?) OR (storage_mtime IS NULL)) OR ((checksum <> ?) There is now a fix for the problem of the closed ports 443 and 80 (v1.26.1.), but it does not solve the problems I have since updating to v1.26. Still no WebDav and Caldav possible.

When trying to upload a file through the web interface I get:

Expected filesize of 38190 bytes but read (from Nextcloud client) and wrote (to Nextcloud storage) 8192 bytes. Could either be a network problem on the sending side or a problem writing to the storage on the server side.

The Ubuntu Nextcloud Client does not sync either.

edit: There seems to be another new fix. v1.26.2. I’ll try this. So please disregard the above.

Did you try to fix permissions from nc webui?

I’ll try the now available second fix v.1.26.2., fix the permissions, recheck everything and report later, if it works. Thanks so far.

After installing v1.26.2 still the situation that nothing works. No CalDav, no Webdav, no uploading through Web server, no sync with the Ubuntu Nextcloud app. Rebooting and Fixing permissions didn’t change anything.

Downloading, web server and ssh work, though.

I guess it is time again to start from scratch and build a new complete Nextcloudpi installation.

My issues are solved by restoring the backup and updating to 18.0.5 immediately after that. But it looks like for me it had to do with css onlyafter first restore, because webdav seemed to work as intended then. Seems i have hijacked your thread with a different problem then, sorry for that…

My issues are also solved. I did restore a backup - but not the newest one but one from 3 days ago, that surely wasn’t affected by the bug.

I also did a few reboots, as the web server wasn’t properly working, and now everything is back to normal.
