Nextcloud with php-fpm

Hello
I am running

  • Debian11,

  • apache/2.4.56

  • 10.5.19-MariaDB-0+deb11u2

. php7.4 & php8.2 with fpm extensions

Trying to install nextcloud as a subdomain to mysite located on a vps where I already have wordpress running php7.4 on subdomain blog.mysite. I set up the subdomain for nextcloud and tried to configure it for php8.2 but I am still getting php errors.

following instruction here:
https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/installation/source_installation.html#php-fpm-configuration-notes
I am not quite sure which, if any, environment variable I should uncomment. I did un-comment “clear_env = no” to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any considerations

Is there a specific reason why you want to keep PHP 7.4? As far as I know Word Press should run fine with PHP 8.2, or at least their system requirements dont say otherwise. So, I would save myself the trouble of managing multiple PHP versions, uninstall PHP 7.4 and use PHP 8.2 for both, WordPress and Nextcloud.

Thanks bb77. You’re right. I guess I installed 7.4 because it was Debian then mistakenly thought it was because of wordpress. Anyway, works now,
Thanks again
