Summary of the issue you are facing:

After and during uploading files (about 1k of photos and videos) Nextcloud started to perform a lot of IO operations on the nas disks (2*4TB in mirror), about 50% of iowait on cpu, it lasted more than 5h like that and i decided to stop Nextcloud app on true nas, iops stopped, so definetly the issue with high IOPS is created by Nextcloud app. The Nextcloud app data, pgdata, and user data are in datasets located on mirrored disks. How to solve this issue?

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

  • Use the preformatted text formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
  • If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
    • If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
  • Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

I strongly believe this is postgres (version 17 I have) which is performing some tasks, at least it seems to be top in htop I/O view. This is really strange as my postgres DB uses less than 200MB of space, hence anything it does on the disks should not take several hours… I think.
