The issue you are facing:

I am trying a fresh nextcloud install.
When running the install procedure, and after entering username and password for admin database user, the process comes back with an error:

We can’t connect to the server at nextcloud. Did you mean to go to www.nextcloud.com/index.php/core/apps/recommended?

I ran this process 5 times over a time span of ~5 hours.
Process stops here.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Run install script

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):
