I am asking my self, if this use case is so rare. Right now I am organising the renovation of my house via NC Tasks and a Gantt view would help to visualize the relations of the different tasks - soooo much. 🙂 ---

I would also like a gantt view for Deck! FYI: in [this issue](https://github.com/nextcloud/deck/issues/134#issuecomment-448910458) Nextcloud says they are currently not planning to implementing it themselves. ---

thanks @derWalter for opening this, I would really appreciate a Gantt view for Deck and have kind of been waigint for this. Cheers haven’t really been flying in since you asked but I think there would definitely be a significant target group of users for this, even though it’s probably not priority for many. I know a lot of working groups who use both Deck and Gantt charts and it would be great not having to copy-and-paste between the different tools. I cannot code such a thing but am happy to support with testing, reviewing, translating etc. ---

seems to me there are at least three ways to approach this: a) get it on the roadmap for nextcloud b) raise the funds to pay someone c) find some one who would implement it for free any ideas how to push this further? I ve seen a lot of interest for this feature over the years, but i dont know a o place to gather all resources at once. any ideas from you guys? ---

This thread has recently gained a bit of momentum by being backlinked by the Nextcloud devs ([here](https://github.com/nextcloud/deck/issues/134#issuecomment-2036291581)), as pointed out by @sicco. It seems this issue is now in the hands of the community. I was thinking of starting a fundraising campaign on Open Collective to gather some real cash from the community if the subject gains some interest. Any thoughts about this idea? I am currently working on ways to use Nextcloud Community to manage a few small Agile teams (using Kanban and Scrum frameworks). Gantt charts integrated into Deck would give teams an instant broader view of a product roadmap. Such feature would certainly be great for the purpose. But as @johnmaynard points out, it hardly climbs up the priority ladder, from the perspective of individual users… So maybe if the community manages to pledge enough funds to motivate an independent dev into putting some time into this… perhaps a blend of b) + c)? ---

OK. I’m setting up a new project on Open Collective right now. One issue I’m facing is, since the fiscal host I operate is set up in canadian dollars (CAD), I can only host projects in CAD (although I could easily hold funds in a USD account — it’s a limitation of Open Collective). Is that a problem ? Also, and before proceeding any further, I’d like to bring in some project administrators to make sure decisions will be made in full transparency and in accordance to the community – and prevent potential conflicts that may arise on the way the funds are managed. - @derWalter: since you’ve been leading the way for this, would you like to co-administer the initiative? - @johnmaynard: as you offered your support with this project, would you mind to also co-participate in the administration of the funds? Thus, being three co-administrators would allow tie-breaking any eventual disagreement by voting a decision. If you agree, PM me your e-mail adresses so I can send you invites as project admins. ---
