Nextcloud Desktop Sync on Ubuntu not showing in traybar

Iā€™m running NextCloud Desktop Sync client 2.6.2-1build1 on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS with Gnome.
I cannot make the client show in the tray bar, if I close the window the client stops syncing. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Is there a plugin for the default Ubuntu file manager to show the sync status of each file like it happens on Nautilus file manager?
Many thanks.

same here with ubuntu 20.10. first time there was an icon in the taskbar, but no chance to open the main window, after reboot no indicator icon is shown, but nextcloud client is running in background.

same here with ubuntu 20.4.
I can launch the tray-info with [super->next] but Iā€™m unable to start the main window
