Nextcloud client does not show login (macOS, 2.6.4stable (build 20200303))

UPDATE: See https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/1793 for further details.

Following a institution-forced mandatory password change I cannot get to login from the macOS client, as the login screen does not display any input fields.
See the attached screenshot.

Login to the server directly in the browser works.

This is with version 2.6.4stable (build 20200303) on macOS Catalina with all updates installed as of today.

How can I fix this or be able to login again?

To provide some further details: this problem exists with client versions 2.6.3 and 2.6.4 as well as the 2.7.0-beta1.
It does not exist for 2.6.1 and 2.6.2, which thus allow login and synchronization.

If things do not work after an update, Please report these regressions on the bugtracker: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues

It was reported here:

Which, as you see at the top, is only closed because it is the duplicate of a (previously somewhat hidden) ticket at

(solved: Btw., how did you create these nifty box for the GitHub link?)

You just have to place the link into a new line, then it creates this box itself. You normally see this in the preview already.

We have fixed it:
https://download.nextcloud.com/desktop/daily/Mac/Installer/Nextcloud-qt5.12.9-3.1.0.20200918daily.pkg

This is just a daily build but the fix will be included in the 3.0.2 release next week.
