In the Nextcloud Android app you can set the download folder. But I want, that the app asks me every download for the folder.
Is this possible?
No, please use the web interface for this use case

Well, thta depends on the solution
- to the “default” download location of the device, that should be easy
- to any freely chosen location is rather tricky (needs write access checks)
In both cases the file won’t be kept ini sync (which other people will demand… 
)
This isn’t about effort needed to implement it but rather aboout the discussion (to be done on Github, not the forum then like you did at https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/4518#issuecomment-564480915) if such a feature should be added at all.
